CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY: PLANETARY ROBOTICS LAB

(June 1st, 2018 - July 31st, 2018)

Aimed at developing lightweight Lunar Rover for mapping lunar and earthly terrain's to collect critical data. Designed novel 3D models of wheel weighing under 200 g with various spoke design to increase net traction and performed thermal simulation of lunar rover body to detect internal temperature and determine aluminum insulation layers to protect the internal electronics.

Ideated six different grouser shape and spoke shape for a light weight wheel under 150 grams:
